My Love and I have been lucky enough to make friends in far away places.
These photos were nothing more than my personal memories but it felt wrong to not share the beauty in this landscape.
all my love.
This family, these girls are the most wonderful souls. I feel so blessed to call them friends.
On a dark and rainy london day, I got to capture just a ounce of all their beauty and love.
Since my mind rarely sleep and getting lost on my drives is one of my favorite past times, I thought what’s better than combining my wanderlust with my biggest passions. There are so many beautiful landscapes that go unseen and un documented. I have decided to start a new series of workshops focusing on the roads less traveled and a love of teaching.
This workshop will focus on putting yourself into your work to create something truly magical.
Picture this, sitting around in camping chairs surrounded by the beauty of blank space. Nothing more than sand and sky. Campfire meals, a survival pack of surprises and playing with holgas. Inspiration galore with people who share your passions. We will be shooting together as well. You will get a true look into my story telling thought process and why my goal is for more than just one stunning image. Its for a collective story that is real and raw.
Things that will be covered:
Connecting with your subject
Shooting full sun and harsh shadows
How I market and keep a consistent feel to my work while constantly evolving.
Finding your true voice as an artist.
Shooting in camera so photoshop becomes a sidenote.
Storytelling and Blogging
Basicly I am a open book and I know you will come away inspired and motivated to make 2015 your best year yet.
Since we will be in the middle of nowhere I will be happy to go over my simple photoshop process but will not be able to project it on a large screen as I do in my 2 day workshop.
This is for both Film and Digital photographers as we will be going over how each medium has its place and purpose.
My dashing husband (Tavis Johnson) who is a film shooter, will also be speaking with you about the technical side of film and how in incorporate it into your digital work.
Locations is about 2.5 hours from slc in the juab county sand dunes.
Cost for the Day will be 700.00 but the first 5 people to sign up will get a 100$ discount.
Come get lost with me.
Some love from some past attendees :
“Attending Brooke’s workshop was one of the best things I could have done for myself and my career. She showed me not only how to connect with my clients, but also showed me how to grow and strengthen my business. Hands down one of the best investments I could have made! Cheesy but true.”

“Brooke shot my wedding & from the moment I met her, I was inspired by her. She created images for me that I will treasure for the rest of my life. I knew then, that I would love to learn from her to create those kinds of images for other brides and future clients. When I heard she was having a workshop, there was no question on whether or not it was worth the investment. Brooke’s workshop was the first workshop I attended and it was by far the best decisions I have made in my photography career. The way she sees light & love is inspiring. She taught me how to go out of my comfort zone to create raw honest photos. With brooke, there are no secrets. She will answer any & all of your questions. She is a creative genius & an amazing teacher. I recommend her workshop to anyone who wants to see light differently, capture real honest love, & grow in all aspects as a photographer.”
For my first greek wedding, I could not have asked for a better one.
These guys know how to celebrate.
Thank you Jess and Ben for sharing your love story with me.
